A bit more about Melanie:

• She’s Puerto Rican and is bilingual in Spanish.

• She’s the oldest of 3 adult children to her parents who moved back to Puerto Rico after raising the family in Baton Rouge, LA. She can relate to her clients who are caregivers especially those who do so from a long distance.

• Is no stranger to the personal challenges of moving having moved over 20 times in her life throughout Puerto Rico, Baton Rouge and Atlanta.

• Melanie and her husband, Mark, a veteran Financial Planner of over 35 years, recently downsized and currently reside in Canton.

• She’s a stepmom to his 3 boys (really young men now) from a previous marriage and has cherished the role of being a mother figure and influence in their lives.

• Family time is the best time. We love traveling - short or long distances, around the US or around the globe, lake, beach, mountains or snow, our bags are packed and ready! Some of our favorite spots are the Rocky Mountains, Puerto Rico and North Georgia. Spain and Portugal are up there too!

• Her other loves are: Fletch (their Golden Retriever), all things LSU (her alma mater), Notre Dame football (family ties), league tennis, volunteering at St. Peter Chanel Church in Roswell and St. Vincent de Paul Open Pantry.
